Compared with aluminum veneer: The maximum panel surface of the box-type honeycomb aluminum panel can be 1500mm×4500mm. Because the panel itself is a composite material, the internal aluminum honeycomb provides a guarantee for the panel itself to bear its own weight, so that the panel itself does not need any reinforcement ribs. When the width of ordinary aluminum veneer is greater than 1m or the length is greater than 2m, stiffening ribs must be added behind the panel. The stiffening ribs need to be welded on the back of the panel, because the thermal expansion coefficient of the stiffening ribs is different from that of the panel itself. After several hot and cold changes, the front of the panel will appear uneven. And this phenomenon usually begins to appear half a year to a year after the completion of the project.
Aluminum veneer is a single-layer product with relatively simple processing and strong modeling ability, but poor precision; honeycomb panel is a composite product with weak processing speed and ability, but guaranteed precision.
The box-type honeycomb aluminum panel adopts a buckle cover system, with two systems available: exposed glue seams and hidden glue seams. The system fully considers the impact of thermal expansion and contraction on the panel surface itself. The panel surface can be freely expanded and contracted in four directions, effectively avoiding the impact of temperature stress on the flatness of the panel surface.
Ordinary single-layer aluminum panels only have an exposed glue seam system, and the installation is fixed on the keel with an installation code. There is no suitable space to release temperature stress, which makes the panel surface prone to warping.
Honeycomb panels are composite panels with the advantages of light weight, high strength, good flatness, large panel surface, easy installation, easy maintenance, good environmental protection, reusable, and excellent resistance to thermal expansion and contraction.
Aluminum veneers are ordinary non-composite panels. Compared with honeycomb panels, they do not have the above advantages, but in comparison, the cost of 3MM thick aluminum veneers is generally 15-20% lower than that of 25MM honeycomb panels. Due to self-weight and molding reasons, 4MM thick aluminum veneers are rarely used in construction, and the cost of this thickness of aluminum veneer is only about 5% different from that of honeycomb panel products.
